Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how JMHB LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use BetFinder.live (the “Service”). We are the data controller for that personal data.
JMHB LTD is a company registered in Scotland (company number SC802251) and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
If you have any questions or want to exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].
1. Who this applies to
The Service is for adults aged 18 and over. It is not intended for, or directed at, anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
2. The personal data we collect
Information you give us
- Account data — your email address and a securely hashed password when you register.
- Subscription and billing data — your subscription plan and billing history. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we receive confirmation of payment and limited information (such as the card type and last four digits), but we do not store your full card number.
- Communications — the content of any messages you send us (for example, support requests).
- Bet-tracking data you choose to enter — if you use features that let you record bets you have placed (such as stake, odds, and outcome), we store that information against your account so the Service can show your own history. This is data you provide voluntarily.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage and device data — how you interact with the Service, pages viewed, features used, and technical data such as IP address, browser type, and device identifiers.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see section 7.
We do not ask for, and you should not provide, special category data (such as health or religious information). Please also do not enter other people’s personal data into the Service.
3. How and why we use your data (and our legal bases)
| Purpose | Legal basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Create and manage your account; provide the Service | Performance of a contract |
| Take payment and manage your subscription | Performance of a contract |
| Provide support and respond to your messages | Performance of a contract; our legitimate interests |
| Keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse | Our legitimate interests; legal obligation |
| Improve and develop the Service, including analytics | Our legitimate interests (and your consent for non-essential cookies) |
| Send service/administrative messages (e.g. billing, security) | Performance of a contract; legitimate interests |
| Send marketing emails about the Service | Your consent (you can opt out at any time) |
| Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations | Legal obligation |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are overridden by your rights, and we limit our processing accordingly. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests (see section 8).
4. When we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers (processors) who help us run the Service, including:
- Stripe — payment processing
- our hosting and infrastructure provider (servers hosted with Linode/Akamai)
- our transactional email provider (Resend)
- our analytics provider, where used
- Professional advisers (such as accountants or lawyers) where reasonably necessary;
- Authorities or third parties where required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
These providers act on our instructions under contract and may only use your data to provide their services to us.
If our business is restructured, sold, or transferred, your data may be transferred as part of that, subject to this Policy.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place — such as an adequacy decision, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses — so your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary:
- Account and bet-tracking data — for as long as your account is active, and then deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after you close it, unless we need to keep some of it for legal reasons.
- Billing and transaction records — retained for as long as required to meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations (generally up to six years).
- Support communications — kept for a reasonable period after your query is resolved.
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the Service work, to keep you signed in, to keep it secure, and — with your consent — to understand usage and improve the Service. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. For non-essential cookies (such as analytics), we ask for your consent through our cookie banner, and you can change your preferences at any time. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to our processing in certain circumstances;
- request portability of data you provided to us;
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent (this does not affect prior processing).
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. We will not charge a fee in most cases, and we may need to verify your identity first.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at www.ico.org.uk.
10. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and use of reputable processors. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and the ICO of any breach where legally required.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised.
